Complete one of the following tasks with a partner.


Call Le Citoyen and ask about advertising in the paper. Noranda School is taking enrollment soon and it would be may be worthwhile to put an advertisement in the newspaper. How much would it be for an advertisement that is a quarter of a page?

Call 905-898-4687 and talk to a man by the name of Everett Kent. Ask him what he did for a living and if he ever had to do any investigative work. What sort of things did he have to do to conduct his investigations?

Call a payphone in the United States or anywhere else in the world and see if you get an answer. Find a list of payphone numbers at http://www.payphone-directory.org/ or http://www.payphone-project.com/ . If someone answers then you can how they feel about Obama being president. Or, ask them what they know about Quebec.

Call Nadine or Julie, Media Relations Officers at University of Ottawa, and ask them the procedure for contacting an expert. Find their numbers at http://www.research.uottawa.ca/excellence-expert.html. Are there any costs associated with contacting an expert for a few quick questions?
